What is Pragmatics?
Pragmatics is the study of the connection between context, language and meaning. It addresses questions such as What do people actually mean when they use words?
It's a philosophy of practical and reasonable action. It is in contrast to idealism which is the idea that one should adhere to their principles no matter what.
