What is Pragmatics?
Pragmatics is the study of the relationship between language, context and meaning. It addresses questions like: What do people mean by the words they use?
It's a philosophy that is focused on sensible and practical actions. It's in contrast to idealism, the belief that you must abide by your principles.

What is Free Pragmatics?

This debate has been fueled by a handful of issues that are central to the study of pragmatics. For example, some scholars have argued that pragmatics is not a subject in its own right because it studies the ways in which people interpret and use language without necessarily referring to any facts about what is actually being said. This type of approach is known as far-side pragmatics. Certain scholars have argued that this field should be considered a discipline of its own because it examines how cultural and social influences influence the meaning and use language. This is known as near-side pragmatics.
The pragmatics field also discusses the inferential nature and meaning of utterances, as well as the significance of the primary pragmatic processes in determining what a speaker is saying in the sentence.
