The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a good option if you are on a budget and don't require an extra stroller that can be used as a car seat carrier. It has a flip-flop friendly one-step footbrake.
It's easy to push and it is solid when walking along woodland paths and kerbs. Additionally, it's easy to fold.
1. Babyzen YOYO2
The Babyzen YOYO2 has built a reputation as the ultimate lightweight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, thanks to its super nimble manoeuvrability and foldable design that can be tucked away in aeroplane overhead luggage. The latest version comes with independent suspension on all four wheels made of Hytrel Elastomer, which allows it to effortlessly navigate all types of surface and terrain'.
The frame's base YOYO2 frame along with the curved fabric bassinet and 6+ month colour pack come together to form a stylish pushchair that's easy on the eye with a subtle yet elegant design and stylish branding. The frame's weight is less than a kilogram, and is so light you can lift it from the box with just one hand.
It's also easy to attach or remove adaptors or attachments - the hood, for example, snaps onto the YOYO2 using reassuring clicks and is machine washable at 30 degrees to remove staining from rice cakes smushed and half-dissolved carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram starting from birth with the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted into stroller at 6 months by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.
2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore
The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great choice for parents looking for a versatile stroller wagon. It can be converted from a stroller into a wagon by simply turning the handle, meaning parents can select which mode they prefer on their journey. The wagon can hold one or two kids from 6 months to 5 years, and it comes with a large storage basket to accommodate everything you need on the go.
The Xplore also has two canopies that rotate from front to back, providing ample sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footprint than other wagons. This isn't suitable for long journeys or napping.
The frame on the Xplore feels sturdy and solid but it doesn't have as much flexibility as other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the other models and it doesn't lock tightly when folded. It is easy to maneuver, though, and it is able to fit through narrow 28 inches doors.
3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side
This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents looking for a secondary stroller that's priced reasonably. It scored well in our Strollers and Multiples Test for its weight and folded dimensions, meaning it is lightweight and compact when folded and easy to lift and store into a car trunk. It also has an adjustable reclining seat that can be positioned in several positions as well as an adult cup holder. Other key features include 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels and two large hanging storage bags.
It performed better in our push and turn test than a lot of the other strollers we tested, but it is still difficult to maneuver over uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has are among the smallest we tested, offering only a direct overhead coverage and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a more extensive canopy.
The Delta took us just under 3 minutes to assemble with an average manual and no components required tools. However, it is missing certain essential features that we believe it is important to consider as non-negotiable features in a double stroller, for example, a larger basket, and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.
4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1
The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's latest pushchair, and is advertised as an urban travel system. It is designed to take infants from birth until approximately 3.5 years, converting easily between a carrycot and seat by just a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It comes with a light Mico 30 infant seat, a car-base that stays in the car and a reversible baby carriage.
The seat can be reclined with one hand, and the big shopping basket makes it simple for parents to take their child in and out. Although it is a small pushchair, it was able to handle the bumps of everyday life well and slid through doors without a hitch.
The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward direction or pivot. This is helpful in rough terrain. While walking on the stony path, we let them move and it performed well although it did seem more bumpy than the other models that we tested.
5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,
Baby Jogger is famous for their all-terrain, 3-wheeler pushchairs for jogging, but they also have a wide assortment of strollers with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most popular models. It is simple to use and folds up
small single stroller enough to fit in the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.
It's a little heavier than other strollers that we test, however the wheels are made of rubber composite so it feels well-made and durable. It maneuvers expertly across different types of terrain and it's easy to carry, even when loaded with two kids and shopping bags.
Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that can be lowered to reveal the UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are waterproof and strong, unlike some other pram hoods that are bounced back into toddlers' faces.
It's not a lot of storage space, however it does come with a huge basket that's deep enough for a changing bag and plenty of groceries. You can also use it with the Baby Jogger car seat that is suitable for babies that weigh up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you require a stroller that can be taken on the road, the City Tour 2 is an ideal choice.
6. Nuna Mixx Next
Nuna Mixx was a stroller that captured the hearts of a large number of parents when it first came out. It is an aluminium-framed stroller which can be used from infant's first days until. It has many standout features, such as the capacity of the seat to flip between the parent and the world, a large UPF50+ canopy, an eye shade that flips out, and an adjustable handlebar.
The wheels are tough and filled with foam which minimizes punctures. The chassis is equipped with built-in suspension that takes the sting out of bumpy terrain. Our tester found it smooth to push and was able to maneuver it through narrow streets with ease.
It folds in four simple steps and locks automatically without hassle. It is also able to stand and be carried by trolley for easier transport in the boot of your car or down the stairs at home. It also comes travel system ready with the option to add a car seat and a carrycot with the adaptors included. The brakes are easy to use with
single seater buggy for sale action, colour coded and flip-flop-friendly.
7. Babyzen Duet
This
single pushchair with buggy board pushchair that is budget-friendly is extremely easy to use and features great dual suspension, one-hand fold, and a handy carry strap. It's also super lightweight and sturdy. The seat is reclined in many positions and has a built-in double-breathable mattress that can be used from birth.
The canopy/seat has two large fixed or flip-out sun visors. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn’t ideal because it's not as quiet as Velcro, and can awaken napping babies.
The Duet is a side-by-side stroller and can be set up to accommodate twins or other siblings (up to 22kg maximum per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and even can be used with carrycots. In twin mode the seats can be facing each other or be turned around to face the parents, theoretically cutting down on sibling disputes over who should sit with mom and dad. It comes with a big gear tray, a bottle holder and snack trays.
