The Roomba J7+, IRobot's most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its biggest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often plough right through). It's the first robot to send you a picture of an object that it encounters, meaning you can tell that it is safe to avoid it.

In our tests, we observed that the j7+ was quick to took away dirt, dust, and hair from pets. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one place instead of scattering it all over the floor. It was able capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a bit of grit. Most robots could not accomplish this feat. It did all this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.
While it's not quite as smart as the Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum and can't clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent option for those who need a vac and a mop in their home. It's not too expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other
robotic vacuum cleaner deals cleaner applications. It can take some time to download updates, and it can be difficult to determine whether they're working until you see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your most effective option is likely to be a hybrid. These bots are equipped with a water tank so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. They also come with many additional features, including smart mapping and small object avoidance and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. They're expensive at retail, but usually are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock produces several of our top robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ does not disappoint. It's their cheapest auto-empty model. While it lacks certain features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great option if you're willing sacrifice a bit to save some hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles such as tables and walls, which makes it an excellent choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to cleaning dust bunnies, which is an area where many cheaper robot vacuums often fall short. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is excellent as well, with only a few missed corners and along walls.
The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled with only a few buttons on your device or through the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas, adjust your home map, or re-label rooms.
If you select the Q5+ model, it includes a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once in place, emptying the bin can be done without difficulty. It also has an impressive LCD display which is great to have when you're setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't required for the majority of people, but it can help you to keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design is one of the most innovative in the market however it's quite expensive.
It's a small base station that looks stunning and is easily hidden when not in use. The station's most appealing feature is the way it automatizes various tasks and functions that most other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot clean and charged.
Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's the only robovac that I've used that has done an excellent job of removing the dust from floors with no. And it's not as loud as the expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
But the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly in terms of navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, meaning it can get stuck or confused in certain areas of the
best home vacuum cleaner. It's not able climb stairs as well as competitors, either and doesn't come with an dock that allows the user to set up a dedicated cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who need a robot vacuum that does it all.
If you're looking to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of alternatives available. A lot of eufy models are substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance, is cheaper however it comes with more features, such as the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, which provides an improved overall experience when vacuuming on floors that are unfinished, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile ones.

Eufy is an Anker company that has an established track record of making robot vacuums that have the right balance of performance, features, and price. Its design is a little more modest than other models, sporting sleek black finish and three physical buttons that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.
The primary feature that sets the G30 apart from its competitors is the way it cleans. It uses a built-in map to create an image of immovable objects it encounters while retaining what it's cleaned and where it can't access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge and continues cleaning where it left off.
The eufy G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better constructed, has lower recurring expenses, charges more quickly and has the same battery life while offering superior performance on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet.
